I am Ron J. Stefanski, a native Detroiter, who has lived in New York and Ann Arbor for the past twenty-five years. This past year, my wife Kay and I decided to brave America’s last frontier, the urban outback of Detroit after our sons Will and Dan left for college. In the passages and pictures seen here, my son Dan and I will be shootingindetroit a bit of the life and times of one of America’s fastest growing cities at the turn of the Twentieth Century, and one of the fastest shrinking cities in this new millenium. Our shootingindetroit will keep it real, and in so doing will keep it interesting. The truth as we see it is always more interesting. As we make our way around Detroit, the city’s slogan speaks to us: Speramus Meliora. We hope for better things.
